Our story

Autopilot Journeys launched in 2015 to help thousands of companies build automated marketing journeys with ease. 

In 2018, founders Michael and Chris Sharkey decided to return to their home country, Australia, to focus on rebuilding the Autopilot platform from the ground up to future-proof the platform for our customers. They envisioned a world where Autopilot customers could easily understand their data and use it to build, measure, and optimize marketing journeys. In 2021, the rebuilt Autopilot was released in beta, with early users excited to have found a solution to the data problems they’d been experiencing. 

In March 2022 we rebranded the new platform to Ortto to better represent our mission, our platform, and our philosophy as a brand. Since then, we’ve added features like Talk and Knowledge Base to help our customers consolidate their marketing tools and create personalized omnichannel experiences. 

Today, 3000+ businesses globally are growing with Ortto. We are headquartered in Sydney, Australia, with a global team working remotely.
